  • macOS / Linux: Open your Terminal application.

2. Run the Ping Command

3. Read Your Result

Let the test run for a 30 seconds. You will see a "time=XXms" value. This is your latency. The process takes about 30 seconds. When the test stops, check the Average value to see your final latency score.

  • Windows displays: Minimum = 20ms, Maximum = 22ms, Average = 21ms

  • macOS / Linux displays: min/avg/max/stddev = 20/21/22/0.5 ms

  • Average under 40 ms: Your connection is excellent.

  • Average between 40 ms and 80 ms: Your connection meets our requirements and should be stable.
